Interview with Grand Marathon Winner

Dear angels,

Swifter, Higher, Stronger - The spirit of competition always encourages us to work harder and strive to make everything better. Even in Angels Online, we still harbor this dream. In the four rounds of the Grand Marathon, some angels have stood out among the huge number of participants. This time we are glad to have one of them as our guest.

Now we are proud to announce our latest Angel Star --- rangermind, a 14 years old student from Canada, has 4 years of experience playing dozens of MMORPGs, and is now absorbed in Angels Online.

Susan: How long have you been playing Angels Online?

Rangermind: umm I think 5 months now.

Susan: How did you win the Grand Marathon, did you make it by yourself or with your friends or league members?

Rangermind: I made it by myself. I tried to do it once with a league member but that did not work out so well.

Susan: What do you think of this event?

Rangermind: It was a great event. Maybe instead of checkpoints, they could have items which give you a riddle to solve to get to the next map, like a hint about a certain monster in that map or a quest.

Susan: Sounds more interesting. What's the most attractive element of AO in your opinion?

Rangermind: I really like the PvP. Because it requires skills and to use the equipment and skills that you hunt. I am a chaos/life mage.

Susan: Does your league occupy a territory?

Rangermind: Yes, we actually have 3 totems.

Susan: How did you make it?

Rangermind: We planned ahead of time and waited for the right moment to take a totem, sometimes we have a friendly league help us. About 1 week before the war, we make a deal with another strong league to help kill the people around the enemy totem, and when the enemies go away for even 2 minutes, we go in right away and steal their totem. By the time the owners realize they are being attacked, we would have taken it to level 3 or below already. We usually do it on Wednesday, because not as many players are on. By Sat. we are prepared with scrolls, materials for the totem, and we still have alliances so we can survive the war. But still this was back long ago.

Susan: It seems that no one can steal the totem from you, because you are quite strong now.

Rangermind: Yes that's true. I am not that strong individually but we are strong as a league together. By the way, a lot of my league members want to bring back the prison break and gladiator event for the level 70 S class stuff ^_^. S class is too hard to find lol especially at my level.

Susan: Hopefully they will. When did you join XAGA3?

Rangermind: I think at the start of June, before the expansion, because my good friend invited me when I was leagueless.

Susan: Seems you've made many friends in AO, how did you know each other?

Rangermind: Yes, I just sell him xp cards many times. I'm playing AO for entertainment and to meet new people and chat with them. Many people like me because I am nice to everyone. I like to help people, i'll help any players who need help.
