Sharing Time With Angels

Issued On: Dec. 4, 2008

Shared hobbies bring us closer together. The peaceful, warm and relaxing atmosphere and the inviting community of players make Angels Online a comfortable place to relax together. You can create a home away from home in Eden.

Today, we have an exclusive interview with player granpa and his wife courty.

granpa:

Call me John. I have created a character called granpa in Angels Online since September. My wife is Amy and her character is courty. We started playing AO at the same time.

Susan:

How did you find out about Angels Online and what convinced you to join the AO community of players?

granpa:

Well, Amy was interested in trying some online games and we started to look for an entertaining game so that we both could play and interact more. Then we found IGG website through a broad search of online browser games. By looking through the game screenshots we saw AO and we both liked it.

Susan:

Do you think AO is a part of your life now? Would you like your child playing AO? Many AO players are children; have you made friends with many of them in game?

granpa:

Um, yes. It offers me and Amy a little more time together and it allows us to meet more strange people even if it is an online chat and through an online game. I would not mind my child playing AO because it is a very engaging game. However, due to his religion, he would not be able to play any video games now.

I do not see any reasons for children not to play. It gives them an opportunity to meet others of different cultures! I have interacted and met those that have been playing, but I think the age difference between us result in slightly different perspectives in playing the game. So I try to do more in looking after them, help them and give them advice, and try to engage them as peers other than another adult playing the same game and monitoring them. But of everyone that I and Amy have met online there have been very few that we have learned of their true age. I believe that they should have some anonymity of their own.

Susan:

Lol, I got it! What’s your favorite in game experience so far?

granpa:

One thing I would encourage is that we get to know and learn of all the other cultures that we interact with in AO, I would hope that is teaches tolerance and promotes learning and healing, especially the holidays, because we don not share the same holidays.

well, I greatly enjoy all of them, the Holy Battlefield, the Totem Battles, what they do is allow a more engaging interaction between players, and gives them something to strive for and achievement in accomplishing things, together as teams...and would like to point out that there needs to be fairness amongst all players, cause what one person does bad, it hurts the whole AO community.

Susan:

Anything you want to say to your wife or the AO community?

granpa:

On behalf of me and my wife I would like to say that we have been having a wonderful time playing, interacting, and meeting some great and wonderful people in the AO community and has been our honor to have made some good friends. To AO, I would like to say that it has done a great job creating and enhancing a wonderful game environment and please do not be afraid to continue to allow this community to grow and evolve beyond what it has done so far. Keep being creative
